HISTORY:

Paul Keating, Australian Aviation Museum

(The then) Prime Minister, the Hon. Paul Keating officially launches the Australian Aviation Museum Project in February, 1994.

This was the culmination of a dream by many Aviation Historians and Enthusiasts who were disappointed at the lack of interest in preserving Australia’s wonderful Aviation History in a complex open to the public.

The dream crystallised into the creation of a world class Museum at Bankstown Airport which could showcase the history and future of aviation, space technology and the role played in world aviation progress by Australians, presenting this information in a contemporary, educational and entertaining way.
